Our program is set to kick off in July, it’s a 12-15wk off season block designed to accelerate your run strength and endurance. It will provide you with a great foundation to launch race specific load from as the summer race season approaches.
Program Key Points
• Program uses a 3week cycle (2weeks full training, 1week recovery/testing)
• 3x Run Squad sessions each week
• Run Technique session on Week 1, 2 of cycle
• Destination Long Cross-Country Runs Week 2 of cycle
• Extended Long Runs with race pace rehearsal Week 3 of cycle
• Periodic ‘Race to Train’ Run & Duathlon events for the purpose of overspeed, race intensity training
• Run Program A.Race Goal event – 10km / Half Marathon in September/October
• Race Day pace planning and support from coaches at events throughout the block.
For Triathletes – This program is designed to complement existing swim and bike training to ensure you retain good Tri Fitness whilst working on run development.
For Runners – It’s an accelerated run block designed to spike run performance. As runners, Fluid coaches will work with you where appropriate to include extra run load on top of what is mentioned above.
